CANCELLATION – RESCHEDULING – REFUND POLICIES
Safari Helicopters reserves the right to adjust guests tour times for operational necessity.
Any cancellations, no-shows, late check-ins, reschedule or change requests made within 48-hours of your tour, will be charged the full fare. These charges are non-refundable.
Any cancellation within the 48-hours of your tour will be confirmed with an email. If you don’t receive this confirmation please let us know.
Any cancelation outside 48hrs will be charged a $25 cancelation fee
All cancelations must be submitted in writing via email or standard mail.
(Note: We may need to reschedule you within our 48-hour cancellation period. In this instance you will not be charged for the change.)
A No-show is someone who does not show up to his/her tour date & time. We supply our guests with a Confirmation email which states your tour date & time. Not having access to WiFi, or your media device i.e. cell phone, computer, will not constitute a valid reason for no-show.
A late check-in is any party that is more than 15 minutes late to their check-in time.
Exposure to Covid 19 inside our 48hr cancelation policy will not constitute a refund.
Denied entry by the state or any other government agency into Hawaii, resulting in delays and or cancelation of travel plans due to improper adherence to state travel restrictions inside our 48 hr cancelation policy, will not be considered grounds for refund.
WEIGHT & BALANCE:
Our number one priority is safety of the flight. We are required by FAA Regulations to perform a weight and balance calculation. We will be privately weighing each passenger during check-in to ensure our air-crafts weight & balance is accurate for your safety. All passengers will be weighed on a certified scale. The scale is very discreet and the reading will not be seen by anyone except the staff checking passengers in. If a Guest weighs in significantly higher than their given weight, they may be bumped to a different flight. (Note: Guests weighing in at 250 lbs or more, may be charged an extra comfort seat.)
Seating arrangements are based off of weight & balance. Requests are not a guaranteed of your seating. Children 7 & under are not permitted to sit in the front seat. If you refuse to sit in your assigned seat, you may be bumped off the tour & may be charged in full.
Safari Helicopters is not responsible for Mother Nature or Acts of God. No refunds or discounts will be given for any change to your flight route, points of interest, or time of flight due to weather. Any alteration to your tour is for your safety. The National Park restricts all aerials tours over Kilauea Crater.
Check-in time is 45 minutes prior to your tour time. Any tardiness of 15 minutes or more after your check-in time will be considered a no-show, & you may still be charged in full.fly. If you miss your tour and would like to reschedule, you will need to buy a new reservation.
We cannot publish times. We are an FAA Part 135 Unscheduled Carrier. Your request of AM/PM is just a request and may be adjust for operational necessity. Tour times posted on this website or any other form of advertising or marketing are averages. Times posted are not guaranteed.
OUR RIGHT TO RESCHEDULE/FILL A FLIGHT:
We reserve the right to reschedule your tour for Safety, Weather or operational necessity. If we reschedule your tour for another calendar day & you are unable to attend our next tour time, we will refund you at 100%. All reschedules by customer must be done within our 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. If you are trying to cancel/reschedule with less than 48 hours, you will be charged the full amount of your confirmed seats.
ARTICLES ALLOWED ON THE AIRCRAFT:
There is no TSA stationed at the Heliport, and there are restrictions as to what passengers may take on the flight. The only carry-on items a passengers can take on the helicopter will be cameras, cell phones & sunglasses. (Note: cell phones must be put on airplane mode.) Passengers should leave all other personal items in their car or one of our lockers that we provide.

All tours may vary depending on weather, and are subject to FAA Regulations.
Keep in mind, this is a sightseeing tour. The windows were developed for exceptional viewing, not for photography. We cannot guarantee that your photos will not have any glare since cameras can pick up the reflection of contrasting objects. To help reduce window glare, use manual control and focus on the subject matter. One wide angel lens is best. If you are a professional photographer we highly recommend chartering a Photography tour with the doors off.
(Note: We highly recommend wearing dark clothing in order to reduce any potential glare or reflection on the windows.)
No scuba diving 24 hours prior to the flight.
